Test methods for anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings on aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 4: Determination of ultraviolet light and heat resistance
This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This is Part 4 of GB/T 12967 Test methods for anodic oxidation coatings and organic polymer coatings on aluminium and aluminium alloys: The following parts of GB/T 12967 have been issued:
——Part 1: Measurement of abrasion resistance;
——Part 3: Salt spray test;
——Part 4: Determination of ultraviolet light and heat resistance;
——Part 5: Assessment of resistance to cracking;
——Part 6: Determination of color and appearance.
This document replaces GB/T 12967.4-2014 Test methods for anodic oxidation coatings of aluminium and aluminium alloys - Part 4: Determination of the comparative fastness to ultraviolet light and heat of coloured anodic oxidation coatings. In addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 12967.4-2014:
——The applicable objects of the clause “Scope” are modified, and combined anodic oxide coatings and organic polymer coatings on aluminium and aluminium alloys are added (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of Edition 2014);
——The clause “Normative references” is added (see Clause 2);
——The clause “Terms and definitions” is added (see Clause 3);
——The principles for weather resistance test and heat resistance test are added in the clause “Summary of test methods” (see Clause 4; Clause 2 of Edition 2014);
——The contents about fluorescent ultraviolet and xenon lamp light sources are added in the clause “Apparatus” (see Clause 5 and Annex A; Clause 3 of Edition 2014);
——The clause “Samples” is added (see Clause 6);
——In the "Test procedures", the requirements for sample placement are modified (see 7.1; 4.1 of Edition 2014), and the parameters of natural exposure test, fluorescent ultraviolet weather resistance test, accelerated weather resistance test under xenon lamp and heat resistance test are added (see 7.5);
