Water—dipping test of industrial detonator
1 Subject content and applicable scope
This standard specifies the principle, conditions and test procedures of water-dipping test of industrial detonator.
This standard is applicable to the water-dipping test of industrial detonator.
2 Test principle
The industrial detonator is dipped in a water-filled container that may simulate a certain water depth and pressure. After the specified dipping time at a certain temperature, the industrial detonator is taken out for performance test to determine water resistance of the industrial detonator.
3 Apparatus and devices
3.1 Water-filling container:
a. A cylindrical pressure-resistant container with a diameter of 500mm and an effective net height of 1000mm. A perforated separator is provided on the bottom of the container. Other applicable pressure-resistant containers are allowed;
b. The pressure resistance shall meet the test requirements and be equipped with drainage and safety valve.
3.2 Sample cage: the device for placing the industrial detonator to be tested.
3.3 Pressure test pump: it shall meet the test requirements. Other devices capable of maintaining a certain water pressure are allowed.
3.4 Pressure gauge: not lower than Class 1.5, and the measuring range shall be such that the test pressure value is 1/4 to 3/4 of full-scale value of the pressure gauge.
