There are no terms or definitions in this document that need to be defined.
4 Marking codes
The identification designators for hydraulic valve mounting surfaces and cartridge valve bores use the following five designated groups of numbers and symbols, in the order given, separated by a hyphen "-".
a) Standard designators and sequential numbers describing hydraulic valve mounting surfaces and cartridge valve bores.
b) Two-digit specification codes:
-Specification of the hydraulic valve mounting surface (see Chapter 5); . or cover cartridge valve specification (see Chapter 5); or threaded cartridge valve bore thread diameter. Two digits as unique code
Note: In previous editions these two digits were based on the designation of the corresponding standard in n). However, if the diagrams in these standards are deleted in the new version, the numbers corresponding to some mounting surfaces and cartridge bore diagrams have been changed, leading to confusion.
d An indicator symbol. For example, an "x" is used, or a number based on the definition of the corresponding standard in a):
The number "o" represents the basic type designation.
The numbers "1" to "9" represent other type designations -
four digits indicating the year number of the latest edition of the standard to which it corresponds.
5 Specification codes
When hydraulic valve mounting surfaces and cartridge valve bores are being standardised for the first time, or when the codes defined in this document are being applied to existing standards for the first time, the specification codes shall be defined in accordance with Table 1.
