本标准通用规定了光电发射光谱分析法共同的一般事项。本标准通则适用于钢铁及合金光电发射光谱分析。以金属固体试样直接作电极，利用符合分析要求的激发条件使之放电发光、分光计分光，用光电法测量分析线与内标线的强度比，利用预先用标准试样绘制的工作曲线求出分析试样中分析素百分含量。在制(修)订钢铁及合金光电发射光谱分析国家标准时，应遵守本通则。
