This standard specifies the life testing principle of heat pipes, specimen preparation, test device, test environment, test, result processing, quantity determination of non-condensable gas in gravity heat pipe and tubular heat pipe with wick and life time evaluation of loop heat pipe.
This standard is applicable to the relevant compatibility life tests of gravity heat pipe, tubular heat pipe with wick and loop heat pipe producing non-condensable gas, and the compatibility life tests of other types of heat pipes may be implemented by making reference to this standard.
