GB/T 15288-1994 Complete filter units for radio interference suppression Part 2: Specification Selection of methods of test and general requirements (English Version)
1 General provisions
1.1 Scope
This standard is applicable to complete filter units for radio interference suppression as included in GB/T 15287.
1.2 Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to specify the standard requirements for protection against electric shock hazards of filter for radio interference suppression, specify the standard rated value and characteristics, select applicable test methods from GB/T 15287, and give the general performance requirements of filter for radio interference suppression. The test severity and performance requirements specified in the detail specification shall be equal to or higher than the performance level of this sectional specification, for lower performance levels are not permitted. In addition, ensure that the minimum requirements for protection against electric shock hazards specified therein must be applied.

1.4 Information to be given in a detail specification
Detail specifications shall be derived from the relevant blank detail specification.
Detail specifications shall not specify requirements inferior to those specified in the generic or sectional specification. When more severe requirements are included, they shall be listed in 1.8 of the detail specification and indicated in the schedule, for example by an asterisk.
Note: The information given in 1.4.1 may, for convenience, be presented in tabular form.
The following information shall be given in each detail specification and the values quoted shall be preferentially selected from those given in the relevant clause of this sectional specification.
1.4.1 Outline drawing and dimension
An outline drawing of the filter shall be provided as an auxiliary means for easy identification and comparison with other filters. The dimensions affecting interchangeability and installation as well as their permissible deviations shall be given in the drawing. All dimensions shall be given in millimeters (mm) preferentially, however, when the original dimensions are given in inches, they shall be converted to dimensions in millimeters.
Generally, the length, width and height of the filter body shall be given. For cylindrical filter, the diameter and length of the main body and the diameter of the termination of the filter shall be given. If necessary, for example, when the number of items (filter parameter value / voltage range) included in the detailed specification is more than one, its size and its permissible deviation shall be listed in a table following the figure.
When the outline structure is different from the above, the detailed specification shall give sufficient dimensional data to describe the filter.
1.4.2 Installation
The filter shall be installed by the normal installation method. When the filter is an axial termination, the distance between the filter body and the installation point of the termination shall be (6±1)mm. The design of a certain filter may require special installation fixtures during application, in which case, the detailed specification shall give the figure of such installation fixtures, and such installation fixtures shall be used in vibration, bump and impact tests.
