This standard gives two grades of analytically pure and chemically pure, in which the analytically pure is identical to the R 85 "potassium sulfate" in international standard ISO 6353-3: 1987 Reagents for chemical analysis - Part 3: Specifications - Second series. The differences are as follows:
1 Standard compilation
According to China's national conditions, this standard has added three clauses: properties, inspection rules and packaging and marking.
2 Specifications
2.1 Items
Compared with international standards, this standard has added clarity test and water insoluble matter.
2.2 Indexes
The requirements for analytically pure iron and arsenic are stricter than international standards, and other items are identical to international standards.
3 Test
For the determination method of content, this standard is identical to the international standard. For the determination of calcium, the international standard uses atomic absorption spectrography, while this standard uses calcium reagent colorimetry which is convenient to implement. Other items all refer to the corresponding standards in a set of standards related to the general test methods for chemical reagents formulated in China. This set of standards is basically developed by reference to the international standard ISO 6353-1: 1982 Reagents for chemical analysis - Part 1: General test methods.
This standard is based on HG 3-920-76 Chemical reagent - Potassium sulfate. Compared with the previous edition, in order to adopt the international standard, the specifications and test methods are modified accordingly.
The professional standard HG 3-920-76 of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry shall be abolished from the effective date of this standard.
Annex A in this standard is normative.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People’s Republic of China.
