1 Scope
This standard specifies the units and symbols of usual capacities in heating ventilation air conditioning and air cleaning equipment according to the international system of units.
The units and symbols in this standard are applicable to the usual technical performance of heating ventilation air conditioning and air cleaning equipment, excluding concentrated cooling and heating source equipments.

3 Definitions
The following definitions are adopted in this standard.
3.1 Heating equipment: refers to all kinds of equipments for heating in the building, such as heating boiler, unit heater, radiator and airheater etc.
3.2 Ventilation equipment: refers to the equipments to provide air change for the building for hygienic and safe air environment by natural or mechanicals method, such as ventilator, ventilating fan, dust remover, air outlet and air curtain etc.
3.3 Air conditioning equipment: is a general term for all kinds of equipments to regulate such parameters as temperature, humidity, speed and cleanliness etc. of the air in the room or enclosed space, such as central-station air handling units, air heat exchanger, humidifier, air conditioner, dehumidifier, heat recover, fan-coil unit and muffler etc.
3.4 Air cleaning equipment: refers to all kinds of equipments used for reducing the suspended particles in the air to reaching the clean degree, such as cleanroom, clean table, automatic purifier, airshower, fresh air cleaner and all kinds of air filters etc.
