1 Scope
This standard specifies the types, requirements, test methods and marking of cycle inner tubes.
This standard is applicable to mould vulcanized inner tubes for assembling cycle tyres.
This standard is not applicable to non-mould vulcanized inner tubes and inner tubes for tubular tyres for racing cycles.

——Category A: inner tubes made of or mainly made of natural rubber;
——Category B: inner tubes made of or mainly made of butyl rubber.

This standard specifies the types, requirements, test methods and marking of cycle inner tubes.
This standard is applicable to mould vulcanized inner tubes for assembling cycle tyres.
This standard is not applicable to non-mould vulcanized inner tubes and inner tubes for tubular tyres for racing cycles.

3 Types of inner tubes
Inner tubes can be classified into two categories by their materials:
