本标准规定了滚珠丝杠副的公称直径和公称导程的公制系列，并提出了公称直径和公称导程的优先组合与一般组合，当优先组合不够用时，可选用一般组合。本标准适用于各类机械产品使用的公称直径在6~200mm范围、公称导程在1~40mm范围的公制滚珠丝杠副。
