This document specifies the classification and codes, requirements, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of hardly flammable plywood, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the production, sale, and inspection of hardly flammable plywood products for general use and hardly flammable decorative veneered plywood products.

plywood for general use and decorative veneered plywood that have undergone flame retardant treatment and meet the requirements for hardly flammable grade in terms of burning performance

burning performance
reaction characteristics of a material or substance to fire under specified conditions

4 Classification and codes
4.1 By burning performance grade:
a) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade B within Grade B1 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the code B1(B);
b) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade C within Grade B1 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the code B1(C).
4.2 By smoke generation characteristics:
a) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade s1 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-s1) or B1(C-s1);
b) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade s2 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-s2) or B1(C-s2);
c) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade s3 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-s3) or B1(C-s3).
4.3 By smoke toxicity:
a) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade t0 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-t0) or B1(C-t0);
b) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade t1 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-t1) or B1(C-t1);
c) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade t2 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-t2) or B1(C-t2).
4.4 By flaming droplets/particles grade:
a) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade d0 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-d0) or B1(C-d0);
b) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade d1 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-d1) or B1(C-d1);
c) The hardly flammable plywood that meets Grade d2 specified in GB 8624-2012 is represented by the codes B1(B-d2) or B1(C-d2).
