1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and storage, and other requirements for the construction winch (hereinafter referred as winch).
This standard is applicable to the electric-motor-driven winch used in the construction and installation engineering.
This standard is not applicable to the winch used as a mechanism of such machines as crane, construction lift and foundation construction equipment.
