This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization—Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 19910-2005 Technical requirements for electronic control system of motor-vehicles engine being overhauled. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect GB/T 19910-2005:
a) The statement for “scope” is modified (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2005);
b) The term “engine electronic control system” and its definition are modified (see 3.1 hereof; 3.1 of Edition 2005);
c) The terms "intake and exhaust control system", "fuel control system", "computer control system" and "self-diagnosis function" and their definitions are deleted (see 3.2 to 3.5 of Edition 2005);
d) The terms "over-the-air upgrade", "freeze data", "signal wave form", "on vehicle status" and "off vehicle status" and their definitions are added (see 3.2 to 3.6 hereof);
e) The clause “abbreviations” is added (see Clause 4);
f) The requirement of “inspection before maintenance” is deleted (see 4.1 of Edition 2005);
g) The requirement of "maintenance as appropriate" is deleted (see 4.2 of Edition 2005);
h) The requirement of "inspection after maintenance" is deleted (see 4.3 of Edition 2005);
i) The requirement of “general requirements” is added (see Clause 5 hereof);
j) The requirement of “operation procedure” is added (see Clause 6 hereof);
k) The requirement of "incoming inspection" is added (see Clause 7 hereof);
l) The requirement of “technology requirements of operation” is added” (see Clause 8 hereof);
m) The requirement of “test on completion” is added (see Clause 9 hereof);
n) The requirement of “quality assurance period” is added (see Clause 10 hereof).

1 Scope
This document specifies the general requirements, operation procedure, incoming inspection, technology requirements of operation, test on completion and quality assurance period for repair of automotive engine electronic control system.
This document is applicable to the repair of automotive engine electronic control system, and and may be used as a reference for the repair of engine electronic control system of other types of vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5624 and the following apply.

engine electronic control system
system for analyzing and processing various parameters in engine operation to accurately control the engine working condition according to the information of each sensor
3.2
over-the-air upgrade
technology for wireless downloading or updating the automobile software and or modifying the corresponding settings of the automobile through a mobile network terminal device
3.3
freeze data
instantaneous operation data of the engine recorded by the electronic control unit (ECU) when the fault indicator light is turned on
3.4
signal wave form
graph of signal parameters changing with time
3.5
on vehicle status
status in which components are not removed from the vehicle
3.6
off vehicle status
status in which components are removed from the vehicle
