本标准规定了在色度学中使用的两种照明体。
　　a)CIE标准照明体A
　　b)CIE标准照明体D65
　　术语照明体 是指一种经过定义的光谱能量分布，不一定是可实现的或可由光源提供。在色度学中，照明体用于计算反射物体色或透射物体色在规定的照明条件下的三刺激值。CIE还定义了照明体C和其他照明体D。这些照明体均在CIE 15.2:1986[1]中有所论述。但是它们不具备与本标准所述CIE标准照明体A和D65同样的主要CIE标准的地位，建议尽可能使用本标准规定的这两种CIE标准照明体之一，这将极大地促进已公布的结果的可比性。
