This document replaces GB/T 20317-2006 Fused deposition modeling machines - Testing of the accuracy and GB/T 20318-2006 Fused deposition modeling machines - Parameters. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial, the following main technical changes have been made with respect GB/T 20317-2006 and GB/T 20318-2006:
——The clause "Structure and parameters" has been added; the specific parameters of X, Y and Z axis stroke, table width, table length and nozzle diameter of sprayer have been deleted, and the relative size requirements of forming platform size and motion axis stroke have been added (see Table 1 of Clause 4 in GB/T 20318-2006);
——General requirements for "machine tool leveling", "diagram", "software compensation" and "machining accuracy inspection" have been added (see 5.3, 5.7, 5.8 and 5.11);
——The X and Y coordinate directions of X-axis motion straightness inspection have been modified (see item G1 of 6.1 hereof; item G1 of 5.1 in GB/T 20317-2006);
——The inspection steps in geometric accuracy inspection and positioning accuracy inspection (see Clauses 6 and 7 hereof; Clauses 5 and 6 in GB/T 20317-2006);
——The structure of the clause "Machining accuracy inspection" have been modified, and Annex A has been deleted; the processing conditions and testing methods of specimens have been added, and the statistical analysis methods and confidence indexes of results have been modified (see Clause 8 hereof; Clause 7 Annex A of GB/T 20317-2006).

Introduction
GB/T 20317-2006 Fused deposition modeling machines - Testing of the accuracy and GB/T 20318-2006 Fused deposition modeling machines - Parameters are the earliest national standards for accuracy inspection of machine tools in additive manufacturing industry in China. After more than a decade of technical development, the accuracy inspection and parameters of fused deposition rapid forming machine tools are gradually defined and standardized with the popularization of product application and the improvement of technology maturity. This document integrates and revises the 2006 edition of the standard in terms of machine structure, parameters and accuracy, taking into account the current needs of design, production and use of fused extrusion and deposition forming machine tools.
Fused extrusion and deposition modeling machines - Testing of the accuracy
1 Scope
This document specifies the structure and parameters, general rules, geometric accuracy inspection, positioning accuracy inspection and machining accuracy inspection of fused extrusion and deposition forming machine tools. Tolerance values corresponding to the above tests are also given in this document.
This document is applicable to the accuracy inspection of fused extrusion and deposition forming machine tools.
