This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 20424-2006 The specification for limit on harmful element content of the heavy metal concentrates products. In addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 20424-2006:
a) Some terms and definitions of concentrates are modified, and the term "antimony concentrate" and its definition are added (see Clause 3 hereof; Clause 3 of Edition 2006);
b) The limit of As in lead concentrate is modified from 0.70% to 0.60% (see 4.2 hereof; 4.2 of Edition 2006);
c) The limits of Cd and Tl in lead concentrate are added, which are 0.40% and 0.02% respectively (see 4.2 hereof);
d) The limit of As in zinc concentrate is modified from 0.60% to 0.50% (see 4.3 hereof; 4.3 of Edition 2006);
e) The limit of Tl in zinc concentrate is added, which is 0.02% (see 4.3 hereof);
f) The limit of Tl in the lead and zinc bulk concentrate is added, which is 0.02% (see 4.4 hereof);
g) The limit of As in tin concentrate is modified from 2.50% to 2.00% (see 4.5 hereof; 4.5 of Edition 2006);
h) The limits of Pb and As in cobalt concentrate are modified from 0.10% to 0.08% (see 4.7 hereof; 4.7 of Edition 2006);
i) The limit of Cr in the cobalt concentrate is added, which is 0.05% (see 4.7 hereof);
j) The limits of As, Cd and Hg in antimony concentrate are added, which are 0.60%, 0.0050% and 0.0050% respectively (see 4.8 hereof);
k) The test method for Hg in lead concentrates is modified (see 5.2 hereof; 5.2 of Edition 2006);
l) The test methods for Cd and Tl in lead concentrates are added (see 5.2 hereof);

1 Scope
This document specifies the limit requirements, test methods and inspection rules for harmful elements contained in heavy nonferrous metal concentrate products. This document is applicable to heavy nonferrous metal concentrate products.

general term for heavy metal concentrates in nonferrous metals
Note: Generally including copper concentrate, lead concentrate, zinc concentrate, lead and zinc bulk concentrate, tin concentrate, nickel concentrate, cobalt concentrate, antimony concentrate, etc.

harmful element
element with obvious toxicity to human body and obvious pollution to the environment
Note: Such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, thallium, fluorine, etc.
3.3
copper concentrate
concentrate product obtained from copper-bearing ore through flotation or alternative beneficiation processes, with a copper content of not less than 13%, designed for copper smelting applications
3.4
lead concentrate
concentrate product obtained from lead-bearing ore through flotation or alternative beneficiation processes, with a lead content of not less than 40%, designed for lead smelting applications
3.5
zinc concentrate
concentrate product obtained from zinc-bearing ore through flotation or alternative beneficiation processes, with a zinc content of not less than 40%, designed for zinc smelting applications
3.6
lead and zinc bulk concentrate
concentrate product obtained from lead-zinc ore through flotation or alternative beneficiation processes, with a lead content of not less than 14%, zinc content of not less than 28%, total lead and zinc content of not less than 45%, and particle size of not more than 0.1 mm, designed for simultaneous lead-zinc smelting applications

tin concentrate
concentrate product obtained from tin containing ore through flotation or alternative beneficiation processes, with a tin content of not less than 40%, a particle size of not more than 3mm, and a particle size less than 0.074 mm of not more than 30%, designed for tin smelting applications
