ＧＢ／Ｔ２１８１５—２００８《化学品　海水中的生物降解性》预计分为两部分，本部分为ＧＢ／Ｔ２１８１５的第１部分，本部分等同采用经济合作与发展组织（ＯＥＣＤ）化学品测试导则Ｎｏ．３０６（１９９２年）《海水中的生物降解性：摇瓶法》（英文版）。GB/T 21815的本部分规定了化学品海水中的生物降解性摇瓶法试验的方法概述、试验准备、试验程序、质量保证与质量控制、数据与报告。
本部分适用于测试与评价可溶于水（水中溶解度以C计大于25mg/L）、试验过程中不因挥发性而有明显损失、无明显吸附作用的有机物的海水中的生物降解性。
本部分不适用于水中溶解度以Ｃ计小于5mg/L 的有机物。
