Fragrance compound
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and shelf life with respect to fragrance compound.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection, and marketing of various types of fragrance compound.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
fragrance compound; fragrance mixture
mixture of fragrance/flavor substances and auxiliary materials for daily use prepared according to a certain formula
3.2
reference sample
specific substance used as a reference for the inspection, which is determined through verification and aroma evaluation of the sample by the technical department jointly with the relevant departments/personnel
3.3
test sample
sample for inspection taken out of the samples
4 Requirements
4.1 Color and appearance: It shall meet the color and appearance requirements for the reference sample of the same model.
4.2 Aroma: It shall meet the characteristic aroma requirements for the reference sample of the same model.
4.3 Relative density (25°C/25°C or 20°C/20°C or 20°C/4°C): It shall be the density of reference sample (Dreference sample) ± 0.010.
Note: It is applicable to liquid fragrance compound only.
4.4 Refractive index (20°C): It shall be the refractive index of reference sample (nreference sample) ± 0.010.
Note: It is applicable to liquid fragrance compound only.
4.5 Content of heavy metals (as Pb): It shall not be greater than 10 mg/kg (except for Category 12 products specified in Annex A).
4.6 Content of arsenic (as As): It shall not be greater than 5 mg/kg (except for Category 12 products specified in Annex A).
4.7 The twelve categories of products using fragrance compound shall comply with the requirements specified in Annex A.

1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and shelf life with respect to fragrance compound.

3 Terms and definitions

fragrance compound; fragrance mixture

4 Requirements

4.4 Refractive index (20°C): It shall be the refractive index of reference sample (nreference sample) ± 0.010.

4.5 Content of heavy metals (as Pb): It shall not be greater than 10 mg/kg (except for Category 12 products specified in Annex A).
4.6 Content of arsenic (as As): It shall not be greater than 5 mg/kg (except for Category 12 products specified in Annex A).
4.7 The twelve categories of products using fragrance compound shall comply with the requirements specified in Annex A.
