1 Scope
This standard specifies the designation, material, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of sight glass for pressure vessels.
This standard is applicable to round borosilicate glass (hereinafter referred to as sight glass) made by tempering process for pressure vessels with working temperature not exceeding 280°C and working pressure lower than 6.4 MPa.
This standard is not applicable to the sight glass for pressure vessels with extremely hazardous and highly hazardous substance toxicity specified in HG 20660.
