1 Scope
This standard specifies the definition, classification, code, dimension, appearance, weight, permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packing, marking and inspection certificate of continuous hot-dip zinc-coated steel sheets and strips (hereinafter referred to as steel sheets and strips).
This standard is applicable to continuous hot-dip zinc-coated steel sheets and strips of general, mechanical splicing, drawing (03, 04, 05 and 06) and structural qualities.

3 Terms and Definitions
3.1
Continuous hot-dip zinc-coated steel sheets and strips
They are the zinc-coated steel sheets and strips obtained by immerging cold-rolled steel strips or hot-rolled acid-washed steel strips into plating solution with zinc content (mass fraction) not less than 98% for hot dip coating on the continuous production line.
3.2
Spangle coating
The coating with obvious spangles formed due to free growth of zinc grains during the normal freezing process of zinc coating.
