3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 recycled cobalt and cobalt alloy raw material
Cobaltcontaining materials that have been preliminarily classified and recycled for the regeneration of cobalt and cobalt alloys, which may be contaminated or mixed with noncobalt materials.
4 Categories and Sources of Materials
Raw materials are classified into five major categories according to their mode of existence: Category Ⅰ: Recycled cobalt compound raw materials; Category Ⅱ: Recycled cobalt alloy raw materials; Category Ⅲ: Recycled cobalt catalyst raw materials; Category Ⅳ: Recycled cobalt slag raw materials; Category Ⅴ: Other recycled cobalt raw materials. Different levels are distinguished by the type and chemical composition of each category of raw material. The specific requirements for each category of raw material are given in Table 1.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Chemical composition
The chemical composition of cobalt in the raw materials shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
5.2 Appearance quality
5.2.1 The raw materials shall not be mixed with other waste materials.
5.2.2 The raw materials shall be free from visible inclusions.
5.3 Hazardous substances
5.3.1 The raw materials shall not be mixed with flammable, explosive or other hazardous items.
5.3.2 The raw materials shall not be mixed with hazardous substances specified by national regulations, such as medical waste, sealed containers, abandoned bombs, etc.
5.4 Other requirements
5.4.1 Raw materials shall be recycled and traded according to the categories, groups and levels specified in this document. Other raw materials not listed in this document shall be assigned to the nearest category.
5.4.2 Any national cultural relics mixed into the raw materials shall be handled in accordance with relevant national regulations.
5.4.3 If the purchaser has other special requirements, they shall be agreed upon between the supplier and the purchaser and specified in the order.
