1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, format, classification and marking, general requirements, technical requirements, test method, inspection rules, product conformity certificate, stacking and delivery for permeable paving bricks and permeable paving flags.
This standard is applicable to permeable paving bricks and permeable paving flags (hereinafter referred to as "permeable blocks") with satisfactory permeability for uses such as municipal pedestrian, garden footpath and non-heavy loaded pavements.
Permeable blocks may be made from non-reinforced cement concrete by forming processes such as vibration and compression or mainly from inorganic nonmetallic materials such as coal gangue, ceramic and pottery waste, and clay by sintering process.
