1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions of inspection and test, examination, inspection and supplementary inspection, pressure test, test results, pressure test method, certificate of qualification and retest of valve for petroleum, petrifying and relevant industry.
This Standard is applicable to inspection and pressure test of gate valve, stop valve, plug valve, ball valve, back pressure valve and butterfly valve of metal sealing pair made up of metal and metal, resilient seal made up of metal and non-metal elastic materials, and non-metal sealing pair made up of non-metal and non-metallic materials.
This Standard may also be applicable to other types of valves upon the consent of the Supplier and the Purchaser.
The inspection items of this Standard include:
- Appearance inspection of caster;
- Shell test;
- Upper seal test
- Low-pressure seal test;
- High-pressure seal test;
- Double block and bleed sealing test;
- High pressure gas shell test.
