1 Scope
This standard specifies the fuel consumption test methods for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
This standard is applicable to gasoline and diesel commercial vehicles with the maximum design total mass greater than 3,500 kg.

basic vehicle type
vehicle applied as basic type by the vehicle manufacturer
3.2
variant of a vehicle type
new vehicle type formed by revising the design or modifying the structure configuration on the basis of the approved basic type
3.3
adapted world transient vehicle cycle
driving cycle formed by adjusting acceleration and deceleration on the basis of World Transient Vehicle Cycle (WTVC)
3.4
fuel consumption simulation method
the method of determining the vehicle fuel consumption by simulating the vehicle operation under adapted world transient vehicle cycle on the basis of motor test
3.5
equivalent inertia
inertial mass corresponding to moving part and rotating part during vehicle traveling process
