本标准规定了往复运动用液压缸的活塞和活塞杆密封沟槽系列的公称尺寸及其公差的优先选择范围，适用于下列尺寸的液压缸；——液压缸内径16mm～500mm；——活塞杆直径6mm～360mm。为满足ISO 6020-2规定的降低缸筒要求的16MPa(160bar)小型系列液压缸的密封需要，本标准规定了另外一个密封沟槽系列。这些较小截面的密封件要求更严格的活塞杆和液压缸内孔的公差。适用于下列尺寸的液压缸：——液压缸内径25mm～200mm；——活塞杆直径12mm～140mm。本标准仅作为按照本标准生产的产品的尺寸标准，而不适用于产品的性能特征。
