1 Scope
This standard specifies test equipment, sample requirements, test procedures and calculation of test results for density, friction coefficient, compression and resilience rates, and thermal weight loss of flexible graphite ring.
This standard is applicable to test for physical-mechanical performance of flexible graphite ring.
2 Test of Density
2.1 Apparatus
2.1.1 Balance, with a sensitivity of 0.001g.
2.1.2 Vernier caliper, to the accuracy of 0.02mm.
2.2 Samples
There shall be at least 5 samples with rectangular sections in each group.
2.3 Test environment
The ambient temperature is (23±5)℃.
2.4 Test procedures
2.4.1 Inside and outside diameters of the sample is measured with a vernier caliper at three points with equal radian, and the arithmetic mean, to the nearest 0.1mm, is taken.
2.4.2 Height of the sample is measured with a vernier caliper at three points with equal distance, and the arithmetic mean, to the nearest 0.1mm, is taken.
2.4.3 The mass of sample, to the nearest 0.01g, is weighed.
