This part is Part 1 of GB/T 34570. This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industry Association. Safety for Rechargeable Battery Packs and Chargers for Electric Tools - Part 1: Safety for Rechargeable Battery Packs 1 Scope This part of GB/T 34570 specifies the safety requirements for detachable or separable battery pack and integral battery of motor-operated hand-held, transportable electric tools and lawn and garden tools powered by rechargeable battery. This part is applicable to battery pack with the maximum nominal voltage of d.c. 75 V. The performance of nickel cadmium battery shall meet the requirements of GB/T 22084.1-2008, that of nickel-metal hydride battery shall meet the requirements of GB/T 22084.2-2008 and that of lithium ion battery shall meet the requirements of IEC 61960. 4.3 Battery pack, serving as key functional assembly or part of the battery tool, shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3883.1-2014. 5 General Conditions of Test 5.1 The test meeting this part is type test, which shall be carried out by experienced technical personnel according to procedures, with properly protective measures taken, to avoid injury possibly caused. 5.2 Battery, cell management (control) and shell compose the integral battery pack; tests are carried out on each individual specimen, while fewer specimens may be used according to the requirements of the producer. For specimen with the cell management (control) arranged in battery tool main body or switch assembly, the battery tool shall be tested together with the specimen; if the cell management (control) is arranged in a matched charger, the matched charger shall be tested together with the specimen. 5.3 If a certain test is considered inapplicable from the view of the structure of battery tool or battery pack, such test may not be carried out.
