1 Scope
This standard specifies the conditions, process control and technical requirements for packaging, labeling, storage and transportation for production of bee pollen in apiaries.
This standard is applicable to the production of bee pollen in apiaries.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
production of bee pollen
process of raising bees and obtaining or drying pollen collected by worker bees
3.2
monofloral bee pollen
bee pollen made of pollen collected by worker bees from the same kind of plant
3.3
pollen trap
instrument for collecting the pollen pellets carried by the hind legs of a homing worker bee
3.4
pollen receiver
instrument for receiving and temporarily storing bee pollen pellets collected by pollen trap
3.5
bee pollen drying
process of dehydrating bee pollen
4 Production conditions
4.1 Beekeepers
4.1.1 Be in good health and hold a beekeeping certificate and relevant certificates stipulated by the state.
4.1.2 Have beekeeping and production knowledge and bee pollen production technology.
4.1.3 Receive training on bee product safety and standardized production technology, and carry out beekeeping and production according to the requirements of GB 31636, GB/T 19168, GB/T 21528 and GB/T 30359.
4.2 Apiary management
4.2.1 Records and files
4.2.1.1 Establish a beekeeping production log according to the requirements of GB/T 21528, and keep records as required.
4.2.1.2 The apiary shall number the bee colonies and make relevant records.
4.2.1.3 Beekeeping and production logs shall be properly kept as beekeeping files.
4.2.2 Labeling and traceability
4.2.2.1 The bee pollen produced every day in the apiary shall be labeled. The label contents include apiary number (or name), bee pollen, pollen source, collection date, origin and weight.
4.2.2.2 When delivering bee pollen, the apiary shall provide the Delivery order to the purchaser, and do a good job in label protection and management to provide a basis for traceability.
