本标准规定了真空系统中用于控制气流或真空压力的真空阀门的漏率测试方法。适用于关闭后对于示漏气体密封漏率小于1×10-5 Pa・m3/s的真空阀门的漏率测试，也适用于阀体的漏率测试，可作为真空阀门检验的依据。
本标准适用于真空阀门在允许操作压力范围、压差、烘烤温度、操作温度和寿命周期等规定技术条件下整个工作过程的漏率测试，在上述条件下阀门的测试漏率低于制造商给定的标称漏率。
