GB/T 38018-2019 Footwear - Test method for soles - Fatigue resistance
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test method for fatigue resistance of soles.
This standard applies to finished shoes and soles with the shoe size of 235 and above.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
fatigue compression
restoration performance of a material which is characterized by testing the change in performances before and after cyclic compression of the specimen after applying multiple cyclic compression tests
3.2
fatigue resistance of anti-compression
ability of a material to keep its appearance, physical and mechanical performance and functions unchanged under a certain pressure, a certain time and a certain number of compressions
4 Principle
At a certain rate, the pressure value of the sole material is close to that of the sole when a person is jogging, and the repeated compression process of the material by the foot in actual wearing is simulated. After a certain times of fatigue compression, the changes of thickness, performance and appearance of the material are tested, and the fatigue performance of the sole material is evaluated by the indexes such as the change rate of thickness and performance and the comparison of appearance before and after the test.
5 Test equipment
5.1 Testing machine for repeated fatigue compression
5.1.1 Test platform: with an area ≥ (500 mm × 500 mm), the center of the platform is aligned with the impact head, and the table surface is flat and inelastic.
