1 Subject Content and Application Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of daily used safety matches.
This standard is applicable to the safety matches for daily use and not applicable to those with other special performances.
2 Product Classification
Daily used safety matches are classified into three main categories: wooden match, wax-paper match and book match, and also classified into different models according to the quantity in a box.
2.1 Code
MG: the initial combination of MUGENG, which is the Chinese phonetic alphabet for wooden match.
LG: the initial combination of LAGENG, which is the Chinese phonetic alphabet for wax-paper match.
SS: the initial combination of SHUSHI, which is the Chinese phonetic alphabet for book match.
2.2 Model
MG-50: the average effective quantity of matches in a box ≥50.
MG-70: the average effective quantity of matches in a box ≥70.
LG-50: the average effective quantity of matches in a box ≥50.
SS-20: the average effective quantity of matches in a box ≥20.
MG-A or LG-A and SS A series matches are produced according to the user's demand, where, A represents the average effective quantity of matches in a box.
2.3 Basic dimension
Match stick, average length of fuse head and matchbox dimension shall meet the requirements specified in Table 1.
