1 Scope
This document specifies the classification of test methods for harmful substances in building waterproofing materials and test items for harmful substances, test methods and test reports.
This document applies to waterproofing membranes, waterproofing coatings and other waterproofing materials for construction.

3 Terms and definitions
As defined by JG/T 528 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Bituminous waterproofing membranes
The use of fibers, fabrics or polymer films, etc. as reinforcing materials, asphalt or modified bitumen as the main impregnating material, factory-formed sheet waterproofing materials.
3.2
Plastic waterproofing roll-roofing material
Synthetic resin as the main base material, add plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers and other additives, with calendering or extrusion molding method of processing and made of sheet waterproofing materials.
Note: can have reinforcing materials, backing materials and surface bonding materials and other structures.
3.3
Rubber waterproofing roll material
Rubber as the main base material, adding fillers, plasticizers, vulcanizing agents, antioxidants, stabilizers and other additives, with calendering or extrusion molding method of processing and made of sheet waterproofing materials.
Note: can have reinforcing materials, backing materials and surface bonding materials and other structures.
3.4
Water-based waterproof coating
Water as a dispersion medium, water volatilization curing into a film of waterproofing materials.
Note: including single-liquid type, double-liquid type, liquid powder type.
3.5
Reactive waterproof coating
Reaction curing with moisture in the air or between the product components reaction curing into a film of waterproofing materials.
Note 1:Including one-component type, multi-component type.
Note 2: Reactive waterproof coating solid content is generally not less than 85%.
3.6
Solvent-based waterproofing coatings
Through the solvent volatile curing or reaction curing membrane waterproofing materials.
Note: solvent-based waterproofing coating solid content is generally less than 85%.
3.7
Hot melt waterproof coating
One-component type, room temperature for solid or viscous body, heating and melting construction of waterproofing materials.
Note: hot melt waterproofing coating solid content is generally not less than 98%.
3.8
Dry powder type waterproof material
Products for dry powder, add water and mix well after the use of waterproofing materials.
3.9
Target volatile organic compounds
The single VOC selected and analysed in the product.
Note: May be formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, o-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, styrene, ethylbenzene, n-butyl acetate, n-undecane and n-tetradecane, etc.
3.10
Total volatile organic compounds
Total VOCs with retention times between n-hexane and n-hexadecane (including n-hexane and n-hexadecane) using sorbent tube sampling and non-polar columns (polarity index less than 10) for analysis.
4 Classification and harmful substances test items
Waterproof material classification, construction and use of harmful substances in the process of testing items in Table 1, waterproof material classification corresponding to the product and the name of Appendix A.
5 Test methods
5.1 Sampling
5.1.1 waterproofing roll-roofing materials
GB/T328.4-2007 in 5.3.2 of the provisions of the cut 3 samples, size 100mm × 100mm, remove the material on the upper and lower surface of the non-persistent layer (isolation, anti-adhesive, adhesive reduction materials). Special sampling requirements see specific test items.
5.1.2 waterproof coatings, other waterproof materials (dry powder type)
Single-component samples are mixed and sampled, multi-component samples are mixed and sampled separately in proportion to the components, the total number of samples should not be less than 200g.
5.2 volatile organic compounds (VOC) content
5.2.1 when waterproofing coatings need to be mixed when applied, should be mixed according to the requirements provided by the manufacturer. When there is a range of matching ratio to take the middle value.
5.2.2 water-based waterproofing coatings according to GB18582-2020 in 6.2.1 water-based type of coating regulations for testing. Double-liquid type quick-setting waterproof coating (rubber asphalt, water-based non-curing) only test modified emulsified asphalt components, and as a result of the test. Two-liquid type fast-setting waterproofing coatings (acrylic salt) test each component separately, combined with the ratio according to formula (1) to calculate the results.
5.2.3 reactive waterproof coatings, solvent-based waterproof coatings according to GB/T23985-2009 test, GB/T23985-2009 in 8.3 to calculate the results. Non-volatile content in accordance with the provisions of GB/T1725 test, the sample is mixed according to the ratio after weighing the sample about 1g, high-temperature treatment test conditions for (105±2)℃ constant temperature 1h, which is not volatile content of reactive waterproofing coatings sample weighing in (23±2)℃, relative humidity (50±5)% under the conditions of 24h before high-temperature treatment. The density is tested according to GB/T6750. Do not measure moisture, moisture content set to zero. Fast-setting type reactive waterproofing coatings are tested components, combined with the ratio according to the formula (1) to calculate the results.
5.2.4 hot melt coatings according to GB/T23985-2009 test, according to GB/T23985-2009 in 8.3 to calculate the results. The non-volatile content is tested according to the provisions of GB/T1725, and the sample is weighed about 1 g. The test condition of high temperature treatment is (130±2)℃ at a constant temperature of 3 h. The density is tested at 23 ℃ according to the requirements of GB/T8928-2008 in the semi-solid petroleum asphalt. Do not measure moisture, moisture content is set to zero.
5.2.5 dry powder type waterproofing materials according to GB18582-2020 in 6.2.1 of the putty test, only test the powder, and as a result of the test.
5.3 benzene content
5.3.1 water-based waterproofing coatings according to GB/T23990-2009 in the provisions of the B method for testing, combined with the ratio according to the formula (1) to calculate the results. Double-liquid type quick-setting waterproof coating (rubber asphalt, water-based non-curing) only test the main agent components, and as a result of the test.
5.3.2 reactive, solvent-based and hot-melt coatings according to GB/T23990-2009 in the provisions of the A method of testing, combined with the ratio according to the public formula (1) to calculate the results.
5.3.3 dry powder type waterproofing materials according to GB/T23990-2009 in the provisions of the B method of testing, only test powder, and as a test results.
6 Test report
The test report should give at least the following aspects:
a) the name and number of the document
b) the name, type, proportion and batch number of the test sample
c) the results of the test;
d) the person, date and place of the test
e) any deviations from this document.

3 Terms and definitions
As defined by JG/T 528 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1

4 Classification and harmful substances test items

5 Test methods
