Classification and test method for fire resistant performance of curtain wall
Warning: All personnel carrying out this test shall be aware that this test may cause personal injuries. During the test, toxic or harmful smoke dust and fume may be produced. Mechanical injuries and operational hazards may occur during test piece installation, during the test and during the cleaning of test pieces after the test.
Before the test, all potential hazards and health hazards shall be analyzed and safety forecasts shall be made. Necessary training shall be provided for relevant personnel. Laboratory staff shall operate in strict accordance with safety operation procedures and take reliable protective measures.
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification for fire resistant performance of curtain wall, test apparatus and instruments, test conditions, test piece requirements, test piece installation and test zones, measuring instrument layout, test procedures, test results and judgments, and the test report.
This document is applicable to the classification for fire resistant performance of fire-resistant construction of curtain wall (including fire-resistant curtain wall, fire-resistant curtain wall outside spandrel area, firestopping between floor and curtain wall and firestopping between firewall and curtain wall).

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5907.1 and GB/T 34327 and the following apply.
3.1
fire-resistant construction of curtain wall
joint protection and perimeter fire barriers which are located at inter-floor slab and firewall between floor and curtain wall, with a certain fire-resistant performance and able to block flame, smoke spread or heat transfer
3.2
fire-resistant performance of curtain wall
ability of a fire-resistant construction of curtain wall to meet the requirements of fire-resistant integrity, fire-resistant heat insulation or reduction of radiation under standard test conditions
3.3
fire-resistant curtain wall
curtain wall construction located at the opening of the external wall of a building and used to prevent the spread of internal and external fire spread
3.4
fire-resistant curtain wall outside spandrel area
construction located between the upper and lower floor openings of the external wall of a building and used to prevent the spread of internal and external fire spread
3.5
firestopping between floor and curtain wall
blocking and sealing system located between inter-floor solid wall or slab and fire-resistant curtain wall outside spandrel area or fire-resistant curtain wall of a building, which has the functions of sealing and expansion deformation under normal use conditions and prevents the internal fire spread in the vertical direction in case of fire
3.6
firestopping between firewall and curtain wall
blocking and sealing system located between firewall and fire-resistant curtain wall of a building, which has the functions of sealing and expansion deformation under normal use conditions and prevents the internal fire spread in the horizontal direction in case of fire
3.7
reduction of radiation
ability of fire-resistant construction of curtain wall to prevent heat radiation under standard test conditions
3.8
internal fire exposure curve
standard curve used to simulate the temperature-time relationship in an internal fire of a building
3.9
external fire exposure curve
standard curve used to simulate temperature-time relationship in an external fire of a building
3.10
assistant fire- resistant member
member which meets the actual requirements for fire resistance rating of engineering, allows the installation and connection of test pieces, and has the functions of a closed test furnace
3.11
furnace closure member
combined member which is composed of supporting frame and/or heat insulation material and has the functions of a closed test furnace
3.12
movement capability
ability of firestopping between floor and curtain wall or firestopping between firewall and curtain wall to adapt to displacement change under the action of reciprocating load in the width direction of blocked joint
