GB/T 41651-2022 Road vehicles—Mechanical coupling between towing vehicles with coupling mounted forward and below and centre-axle trailers—Interchangeability (English Version)
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for the interchangeability of mechanical connections, vehicle combinations and vehicle interchangeability markings for tractor-trailers and mid-axle trailer trains with traction bar connectors fitted in the lower front.
This document applies to vehicle trains consisting of traction wagons with traction bar connectors mounted on the front lower part and mid-axle trailers...
This document does not apply to special car trains where the traction bar connector is mounted on the rear of the tractor wagon, fitted with a closed coupling device and can be extended and expanded.
Note: The car train models that meet the requirements of this document (see Appendix A) are not interchangeable with the car train models that meet the requirements of GB/T41656.

3 Terminology and definitions
The terms defined in GB/T 3730.1 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Towing truck
A truck with special devices for towing towing bar trailers, intermediate axle trailers and rigid bar trailers.
4 Interchangeability
4.1 Distance from the centre of the pin of the towing bar connector to the rear end of the towing truck
The pin centre of the traction bar connector is at a horizontal distance (A) from the rear end of the towing truck (see Figure 1, Figure 2) and should meet the requirements of Table 1; it is advisable to use an auxiliary operating device, the operating position of the auxiliary operating device should not exceed 420 mm from the outer edge of the vehicle.
4.2 Front turning radius
4.2.1 in the axle trailer traction bar hanging ring hole centre to in the axle trailer body the most front of the horizontal distance for the front turning radius (C) (see Figure 3), in the state of the car train according to the formula (1) calculate the minimum value Cmm. in the axle trailer relative to the tractor truck forward angle (a) for 4 °, dumpling angle (β) for 40 °, the tractor truck and hanging workshop swing clearance (S) should not be less than 250 mm.
4.2.2 Example of the calculation of the minimum value of the front turning radius is shown in Appendix B.
4.3 Height of mechanical connection device
Under full load, the height of the centre of the traction bar connector of the tractor truck from the ground should be in accordance with the dimensional requirements of Figure 1 or Figure 2. In a fully loaded state, the height of the centre of the traction rod hanging ring hole of a medium axle trailer from the ground should be in accordance with the requirements of Figure 4.
4.4 Traction bar dimensions
The dimensions of the low and high traction bars shall comply with the requirements of Figure 5 and Table 2, Figure 6 and Table 3 respectively.
Note:The size of the traction bar hanging ring is shown in GB/T 4781.
4.5 Strength of the mechanical connection device
Mechanical connection device in accordance with the provisions of Appendix C after the test, there should be no permanent deformation, cracks or fractures.
5 Vehicle combination
Different categories of tractor wagons and medium axle trailers should comply with the provisions of Table 4 when forming a car train.
6 Vehicle interchangeability markings
In line with the interchangeability requirements of this document, tractor trucks and medium axle trailers shall be permanently marked in the rear of the tractor trucks and in the front of the medium axle trailers in easily visible positions in accordance with the corresponding combination requirements stipulated in Table 4. The size of the sign should be greater than or equal to 150 mm × 150 mm, sign example see Figure 7.
Appendix A (informative) diagram of car train models
Table A.1 gives a schematic diagram of the type of car train, where the serial number A.2.2 in Table A.1 is applicable to this document.
Appendix B (informative)
Example of calculation of minimum front turning radius
In the car train condition, the minimum value of the front turning radius (Cmim) can be determined according to equation (1). Examples of calculations for different categories of dimensions are given in Table B.1.
Appendix c (normative)
Test methods for the strength of traction bar connectors for traction wagons and traction bar hanging rings for mid-axle trailers
