1 Scope
The method described in this document applies to:
a) hydraulic system assembly fluid contamination inspection;.
b) Verification of the target cleanliness of the hydraulic system before leaving the factory;
c) If required, the hydraulic system will be cleaned to the target cleanliness.
The cleaning procedures specified in this document are not intended to replace the appropriate system cleaning procedures, see ISO 23309. parts and components used in hydraulic systems should be cleaned before assembly, see ISO 18413 for guidelines.

3 Terms and definitions
IS0 5598 defined as well as the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
4 Inspection equipment
4.1 Oil in-line sampler, should comply with ISO 4021, know that there is no such sampler, as long as the oil is extracted from the main oil circuit, you can also use the pressure measurement connector.
4.2 Oil sampling container, should be in accordance with ISO 3722, if the online analysis, then this sampling container is not required.
4.3 Particle counting or monitoring equipment capable of counting and sizing solid contaminant particles. Automatic particle counters (APCs) in accordance with ISO 11500, optical microscopes or image analysis equipment in accordance with ISO 4407 or particle contamination monitors in accordance with ISO 21018-1 meet the requirements of this section.
4.4 Purification filters or auxiliary filtration systems and a device to circulate the system oil through the filter, only when the system does not achieve the target cleanliness, these devices are used.
5 Sampling
Warning: Sampling from high-pressure lines may be dangerous and should provide a method of pressure reduction.
Where conditions permit, sampling should be performed in accordance with ISO 4021; for other cases, see 4.1. Flush residual particles from the sampling line sufficiently to ensure that a representative liquid sample is obtained.
Samples should not be taken in the system tank unless there is no other alternative sampling point.
6 Testing Procedures
6.1 The procedures contained in this chapter should be considered as minimum requirements and may not meet the cleanliness requirements of all systems, especially those with large pipe diameters and complex piping. For these systems, more targeted cleaning procedures may need to be used.
7 Acceptance guidelines
When the hydraulic system assembly leaves the factory, its fluid contamination level reaches or better than the system supplier and the buyer's consistent requirements, then the system's cleanliness acceptance pass.
8 Inspection report
Hydraulic system assembly cleanliness inspection report should contain at least the following:
a) the date of inspection;
b) the identification number of the system being inspected (such as serial number); and
c) the cleanliness of the system assembly when it leaves the factory
d) sampling method; and
e) the presence or absence of bypass elements
f) Operating conditions (oil temperature, system pressure, oil type and viscosity, and other operating conditions as required by the buyer);
g) Particle contamination analysis, including analytical methods and modes of analysis (e.g., on-line or off-line).
A template inspection report is provided in Appendix A. An example of a complete inspection report is provided in Appendix B.
9 labeling instructions
When this document is fully complied with, the following statements can be made in test reports, product samples and sales documents:
"Hydraulic system cleanliness test method in accordance with GB/T 42087-2022 "hydraulic transmission, systems, cleaning procedures and cleanliness test methods.
