3 Terminology and definitions
3.1
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document
Temperature uniformitytemperature uniformity
Water bath (or water bath) and cryogenic test equipment, the maximum value of the difference between the center of the workspace and the temperature of any other point in the workspace.
3.2
Temperature fluctuationstemperature fluctuations
Water bath (or water bath) and low-temperature test equipment in the working space of any point of the temperature change in a certain period of time
4 Principle
The sample is placed in a low-temperature environment for a certain period of time, and then the sample is removed and placed at room temperature or in a certain temperature environment to observe the ability of the sample to withstand changes from low temperature to the specified temperature.
5 Reagents or materials
5.1 sample box
Sample box should have good thermal conductivity, can withstand at least -50C low temperature and not deformed, can carry the appropriate amount of samples. The bottom of the sample box should be uniformly arranged round or square holes, round holes straight through in 0.2mm ~ 1.0mm or square holes in 0.2mmX0.2mm ~ 1.0mmX1.0mm sample box should be made of stainless steel material material thickness in 0.5mm ~ 1.0mm, sample box type see Figure 1.
5.2 Test water
Should not be less than the requirements of GB/T6682 secondary water
6 Equipment
6.1 Water bath (or water bath)
Water bath (or water bath) to meet the following requirements.
Volume should be greater than or equal to 5 times the total volume of the test sample.
Water temperature should be maintained at 40C, the temperature uniformity should not exceed 1C; temperature fluctuations should be met in the water bath (or water bath) space at any point in the temperature fluctuations within 1C.
Note:The total volume of the test sample is the total volume of all samples when each sample is considered as a solid body.
6.2 Low temperature test equipment
Cryogenic test equipment meets the following requirements.
Temperature regulation, the freezer temperature can be adjusted to a 50C or at least 5C below the test temperature; temperature accuracy of not less than 0.1C, temperature uniformity should not exceed 2C: temperature fluctuations should meet the temperature fluctuations at any point in the space of the low-temperature test equipment within 2C.
7 Sample
Test sample surface should be free of obvious glass defects and dirt, no other debris 7.17.2 sample external surface should be dry.
8 Test procedure
8.1 Sample preparation
8.1.1 Check according to the provisions of GB/T35599, select a sample without obvious glass defects as the test sample. Check the appearance of the sample should wear gloves to avoid direct contact with the sample by hand.
8.1.2 Remove dirt or other debris from the sample and let it stand at room temperature for more than 30min.
8.2.1 Fill each sample with 1/3-1/2 of the nominal volume of test water (5.2), keep the sample surface dry, and place the sample containing the test water into the sample box (5.1), keeping the samples upright and separated from each other to avoid hitting each other. 8.2.2 Place the sample together with the sample box into the freezer of the low temperature test equipment (6.2), and start cooling down by first lowering the 8.2.3 Remove the sample from the freezing chamber (when using the sample box, the sample should be removed together with the sample box) and immediately immerse it in a 40C1C water bath (or 8.2.4 Keep the sample at 40C1C for 1 min, remove the sample, and check whether the sample is broken.
8.3 Direct freezing method
8.3.1 Place the samples prepared according to 7.1 into the sample cassette (5.1), keeping the samples upright and separated from each other to avoid collision.
8.3.2 Put the sample together with the sample box into the freezing chamber of the low-temperature test equipment (6.2), start cooling down, adjust the temperature of the freezing chamber directly to the temperature required for the test, control the temperature fluctuation within 2C, and keep it for 24h or the specified time.
8.3.3 Remove the sample from the freezer (when using the sample box, the sample should be removed together with the sample box) and immediately immerse in a 40C1C water bath (or water bath) (6.1), the sample should be immersed in the water bath (or water bath) in the process of avoiding phase impact.
8.3.4 Keep the sample in 40C1C for 1 min, remove the sample and check whether the sample is broken.
