1 Scope
This document describes a method for determining residual benzene in textile products using headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (HS-GC-MS).
This document is applicable to various textiles.

4 Principle
Put the specimen in a sealed container. Benzene in the specimen volatilizes into the container after equilibrium at the specified temperature and time. Extract the air in the head space of the container and inject it into gas chromatography-mass spectrometer for determination. Quantify it by internal standard curve method.
