Direct current (DC) plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes -
Part 2: Types and dimensions
1 Scope
This document specifies the types, basic parameters, dimensions, and test methods of DC plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes.
This document applies to plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes, indoor or outdoor use, only for direct current, with a rated voltage not exceeding 400 V and a rated current not exceeding 16 A.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 1184 Geometrical tolerancing - Geometrical tolerances for features without individual tolerance indications

GB/T 42710.1-2023 GB/T 42710.1 Direct current (DC) plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes - Part 1: General requirements.
3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.70 and GB/T 2099.1 apply.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 General
4.1.1 DC plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes are classified into two basic types: two poles without earthing-contacts and two poles with earthing-contacts.
4.1.2 The types, basic parameters and dimensions of DC plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes, and the arrangement of positive and negative contacts shall be as specified in Figures 1 to 4 and Figure 16.
Note: The types, basic parameters and dimensions of plugs and socket-outlets of other specifications are under consideration.
