Juvenile products - General requirements for bath washing supplies
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of bath washing supplies among juvenile products.
This document is applicable to products such as bath tubs (including inflatable bath tubs, foldable bath tubs, etc.), bath buckets, bath seats, bath cradles, bath mats, stands, suction cups and handles intended to support children under the age of 6 during bathing.
It is not applicable to bath washing supplies and accessories designed for children with special needs in hospitals, rehabilitation institutions, etc., nor to other components or products not intended to support infants during bathing, such as wash basins, soap holders, towel racks, water pumps, shower handles and toys.
Note: The provisions of relevant technical requirements for bath washing supplies among juvenile products are described in Annex A.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 6675.2-2014, as well as the following, apply.
3.1
bath washing supplies
bath tubs, bath buckets and other similar products for bathing children under the age of 6
Note: Including auxiliary components, such as bath seats, bath cradles, bath mats, stands, suction cups and handles, used by nursing personnel for supporting children during bathing.
3.2
bath tub
product providing containment of water by itself, designed for bathing children, which can be used as stand-alone product or combined with stands
Note: A bath tub can also be foldable or can comprise integral parts that can be folded or adjusted (e.g. foldable legs).
3.3
stand
static structure, not integrated into the bath tub, designed to accommodate, support and elevate a bath tub (3.2)
Note: A stand can either be standalone or be designed to be fitted over an adult bath tub.
3.4
bath seat
bath washing supplies (3.1) designed to keep a child in a seated position during bathing
Note: These products are intended for use with a child who is able to sit upright unassisted and until the child begins pulling up to a standing position.
3.5
attachment device
device to secure the product to the bath tub (3.2)
Note: For example, suction cup.
3.6
accessible
bath washing supplies (3.1) that can be reached according to the portion forward of the collar of accessible probe as described in GB 6675.2-2014, 5.7
3.7
access zone
zone that can be reached by child during normal use of bath washing supplies, of which the dimensional requirements are as shown in Figure 1
Note: The zone outside the 150mm radius arc from the lower and outer edge of the bath washing supplies is unaccessible; the zone beyond 550mm from the highest point of the plane on the bath washing supplies for sitting, standing or lying is unaccessible.
