1 Scope
This document specifies the functional safety requirements and testing methods for drive motor system of electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as "drive motor system").
This document is applicable to the drive motor system of electric vehicles, and may serve as a reference for other types of drive motor systems.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 34590.1-2022 and the following apply.

drive motor system
system installed on an electric vehicle to provide driving force for the vehicle and realize mutual conversion between mechanical energy and electric energy
Note: Drive motors, drive motor controllers and auxiliary devices necessary for their operation are included. The auxiliary devices include variable speed devices integrated with the drive motor.
