Continuous silicon carbide fiber with low oxygen and high carbon
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, signs, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, labels, accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage of the continuous silicon carbide fiber with low oxygen and high carbon (hereinafter referred to as "the fiber").
This document is applicable to the inspection and delivery of the continuous silicon carbide fiber with low oxygen and high carbon with tow specifications of 0.5 K and 1 K, and may serve as a reference for the inspection and delivery of other specifications of fibers.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 40724 and the following apply.
3.1
continuous silicon carbide fiber with low oxygen and high carbon
continuous silicon carbide fiber with an oxygen content of less than 1% and a carbon-silicon atomic ratio of not less than 1.3
4 Classification and labeling
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Tow specification classification
The tow specification classification is expressed by the number and the letter K. The number is the ratio of the number of single fibers in each fiber to 1,000. For example, for a fiber bundle of 500 single fibers, the tow specification is expressed as 0.5 K.
