Metallic materials - Very high cycle fatigue - Ultrasonic fatigue test method
1 Scope
This document specifies the specimen, test apparatus, test procedures and test report of ultrasonic fatigue test method for ultra-high cycle fatigue of metallic materials at room temperature.
This document is applicable to ultra-high cycle fatigue test with a test frequency of 20,000 Hz ± 500 Hz, a single-end axial excited vibration and a stress ratio R=-1.
Fatigue tests of other stress ratios or ultrasonic resonance frequencies may refer to this method, and the corresponding specimens should be designed and verified separately.
Notched specimens are not included in this document, but the fatigue test procedures specified in this document may be applied to the very high cycle fatigue test of notched specimens.
