This standard specifies external dimensions and allowable deviation of aluminium and aluminium alloy tubes.

This standard is applicable to hot extrusion seamless round tube, cold drawn and rolled round tube, cold drawn square tube, rectangular tube and ellipse tube made of aluminium and aluminium alloy. This standard is not applicable to combination-die hot-extrusion aluminium and aluminium alloy tubes. The dimensional variation of combination-die hot-extrusion tubes shall meet the requirements of GB/T 14846 "Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Extruded Profiles - Tolerances on dimensions and form".
