GB/T 4476《金属船体制图》分为四个部分，本部分为GB/T 4476的第3部分。
GB/T 4476的本部分规定了金属船体制图时的图样画法及编号方法。
本部分适用于民用船舶及军用辅助船舶金属船体的制图。
本部分代替GB/T 4476.3-1984相比，主要有以下变化：
——增加了“规范性引用文件”、“术语与定义”两章；
——删除了图2、图20，修改了图1、图3、图5、图17、图22；
——增加了对绘制图样用图线的规定；
——明确了向视图、剖面图、局部放大图的标注方式；
——修改了人孔、减轻孔、流水孔、透气孔的简化表示方法；
——修改了零部件编号的标注方式。
