This document describes the bomb calorimetric method in the determination of gross energy of feeds.
This document is applicable to the determination of gross energy of formula feeds, concentrated feeds, concentrate supplements and feedstuffs.

4 Principle
The heat generated by the complete combustion of the specimen in an oxygen bomb with an oxygen pressure of 2.8 MPa to 3.0 MPa causes the temperature change of the calorimetric system, and the gross energy shall be calculated according to the temperature change.
