1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to putting forth the vital function of cooling tower for mechanical ventilation in industrial circulating cooling water system economically, reasonably and safely, and normalizing the design and calculation of cooling tower for mechanical ventilation.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of wet cooling tower for mechanical ventilation (hereafter referred to as "cooling tower") in new, rebuilt, and extended open type circulating cooling water system. And it is not applicable to the designs of bare cooling tower, jet type cooling tower and mini-type fiberglass reinforced plastics cooling tower.
1.0.3 The design of cooling tower shall meet the requirements in safety in production, economic feasibility, environment protection, energy conservation, water saving, optimal land utilization and facilitating in construction, operation and maintenance.
1.0.4 Advanced technologies shall be developed positively and adopted deliberately on the base of production practice experiences and scientific experiments.
1.0.5 The design of cooling tower shall also meet the provisions of the related current national standards, besides this code.
