1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated to standardize the renewal and renovation works of pumping station, integrate technical requirements for renewal and renovation and ensure the renewal and renovation pumping station operates in a safe, high-efficient and economical manner to maximize the benefit.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the renewal and renovation of large and medium-sized pumping stations in water resource project.
1.0.3 The pumping stations evaluated into Stage 3 and Stage 4 in the comprehensive safety shall be subjected to the renewal and renovation.
1.0.4 The renewal and renovation of the pumping station shall include the following main items:
1 The electromechanical equipment and metallic structure, including main water pump, main motor and transmission device, auxiliary equipment and facilities, electrical equipment, metallic structure, automatic control and monitoring;
2 Building, including pump house, inlet and outlet structures, junction matching building;
3 Management facilities, including works observation, traffic, communication and production support facility.
1.0.5 The renewal and renovation of pumping station shall comply with the following principles:
1 Ensure safe and reliable operation, maximize the benefit and enhance unit efficiency;
2 Assort with the national economy and social development planning and overall water resources planning at the beneficial area and determine scale, plan and technical and economic indexes of the renewal and renovation in a scientific and reasonable manner;
3 Make the best of former facilities and equipment when the property and safety of the pumping station are not affected;
4 Adopt actively the tested and appraised new technology, new materials, new process and new equipment;
5 Adopt the computer control technology, realize pumping station integrated automation and actively push the informatization according to the scale, position and action of pumping station and its actual operation demands;
6 Correctly handle relation between renewal and renovation of the technology and between reconstruction after backout and eliminating of potential danger and reinforcement.
1.0.6 The pumping station shall be subjected to the renewal and renovation while the management system shall be reformed and the good operation mechanism shall be established.
1.0.7 The renewal and renovation of pumping station shall not only comply with this code but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Renewal and renovation
The technical activities carried out for the pumping station, including renewal or technical renovation for the electromechanical equipment due to the change of the basic situations for the former design of the pumping station and the ageing or damage of the engineering facilities and eliminating potential danger of the buildings and reinforcement, engineering matching and reconstruction after backout.
2.0.2 Renewal of equipment
Adoption of the new electromechanical equipment due to the ageing, damage, dysfunction, failure to restoration.
2.0.3 Technical renovation
The comprehensive renovation activities carried out for the pumping station by the technical means to meet the technical renewal requirements of the facilities and equipment.
2.0.4 Eliminating potential danger and reinforcement
Activities to eliminate unsafe factors like ageing and damage of the structures of pumping station.
2.0.5 Engineering matching or equipment matching
Perfection of engineering facilities or equipment on the basis of engineering available and according to the established design scheme and target.
2.0.6 Reconstruction after backout
The reconstruction of buildings at the pumping station after backout due to the dysfuncation and failure to be restored.
