1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to improving the construction quality and management level, guaranteeing the drinking water safety in the rural areas and promoting the water-saving irrigation and social and economic development.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the planning, design, construction, acceptance and management for rainwater collection, storage and utilization in semi-arid area (where the surface water and groundwater is in shortage or difficult to exploit and utilize, and the average annual rainfall is greater than 250mm), the humid or sub-humid hilly area (with frequent seasonal water shortage), island and coastal area, while not applicable to the rainwater collection, storage and utilization in urban area.
1.0.3 The rainwater collection, storage and utilization shall be constructed and managed according to single household, household community or natural village. The construction and management must be conducted by implementing the principle of scientific planning and adaptation to local conditions under governmental guide and support based on the principle of voluntariness.
1.0.4 The rainwater collection, storage and utilization shall be implemented according to the requirements of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects and new rural construction in combination with local conditions.
1.0.5 In addition to the requirements stipulated in this code, the planning, design, construction, acceptance and management of rainwater collection, storage and utilization shall meet those in the relevant ones of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Rainwater collection, storage and utilization
The micro water conservancy project collecting, storing and comprehensively utilizing rainwater by taking engineering measures.
