1 Scope
This part specifies the classifications and designations, order contents, dimension, appearance, weight and permissible tolerance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of steel wire for cold heading and cold forging but not intended for heat treatment (hereinafter referred to as steel wire).
This part is applicable to the round steel wire for general rivets and screws, bolts and studs and other fasteners and other cold forming parts. Fasteners and other cold forming parts do not need heat treatment after cold heading and cold forging.
