GB/T 6628-1996 Lumbered synthetic quartz crystal
1 Scope
This standard specifies the definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of lumbered synthetic quartz crystal (rod or plate).
This standard is applicable to lumbered synthetic quartz crystal used for manufacturing the piezoelectric device for frequency control and selection.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, all editions cited are valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.

3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
3.1
lumbered synthetic quartz crystal
synthetic quartz crystals whose X and Z or Z′ faces are cut, ground, and lapped to be flat and parallel and to conform to specified dimensions and orientations
3.2
reference surface
surface of the material which is processed to have a defined flatness and a specific orientation with respect to the crystallization direction
4 Requirements
4.1 Synthetic quartz crystal for material preparation
Synthetic quartz crystal for material preparation shall meet those specified in GB/T 3352-1994, 4.2 to 4.5.
4.2 Lumbered synthetic quartz crystal
4.2.1 Overall dimensions and their deviations
As shown in Figure 1, the dimensional deviation specified along the X-axis and Z or Z′-axis directions shall not exceed 0.20 mm.
